Project Manager

Project Manager at Roundarch Isobar, Inc. d/b/a Isobar (New York, NY). Provide day-to-day strategic and tactical leadership for the delivery team on creative development of technology products and solutions for client engagements. Oversee entire project lifecycle from planning to initiation through execution, tracking, and closing. Ensure client satisfaction, project delivery, project financials, and team development. Develop strategies for achieving client business goals, including the development of maturity models, product roadmaps and strategic short- and long-term plans. Manage and execute testing, including defining appropriate test approaches, writing test plans, scenarios and scripts, executing testing, managing functional resources in their execution of test scripts, reporting on and communicating test status, and managing the resolution of defects. Generate and validate estimates across the lifecycle of the project and understand technical details to accurately report project status and manage dependencies, risk, and day-to-day development activities. Manage a team of technologists, including interfacing with senior client stakeholders, on projects that entail complex technology design, development and integration. Serve as the liaison between internal/external teams and keep all parties informed of project updates, decisions, actions, issues and risks.

Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field plus 2 years of experience as a Consultant, Senior Developer, or related. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in an acceptable field as stated above plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience as stated above. Full term of experience must include the following: leading-edge web application technologies, including rich internet application (RIA) technology, mobile applications, and n-tier architectures; utilizing web architecture technologies and tools including front-end technology (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), server-side technology (J2EE, Spring, and XML), and database and integration technologies; working with corporate sites, consumer sites, B2B sites, RIA/web 2.0 applications, employee portals, and marketing platforms. Domestic travel required approximately 50% of the time. Destination and frequency impossible to predict.
