GM and DAN develop a Showroom that goes beyond the Virtual Experience

To enrich and simplify the car-buying experience by using Mixed Reality. This is how GM and the DAN Group define this endeavour that amplified the customer experience at over 80 GM dealerships when they launched the new Chevrolet Cruze. The V-Showroom, as it was dubbed, is a mobile app that merges virtual and real-world imagery seamlessly and in real-time, by superimposing 3D imagery upon the physical space and environment around the user. The experience was developed by Isobar Singapore and the app makes use of a depth sensor attached to an iPad to “project” a 3D replica of the car upon any chosen surface, be it a parking space, a ballroom or a coffee table.
