2nd Isobar Summit – It’s all Happening at the Zoo

When Simon & Garfunkel launched their single “At the Zoo”, back in 1968, its success came from the homage they paid to their home town, but also from their anthropomorphising of the animals in various amusing ways, with a resulting cynical eye towards human life. Such statements as "elephants are kindly, but they're dumb," "antelopes are missionaries" and "pigeons plot in secrecy" reflect more about man than they do about the menagerie. And neither Simon nor Garfunkel could dream that, 49 years later, the Isobar Portugal team would do exactly the same. And of course we did. On April 20th, we spent the afternoon observing, commenting, discussing, arguing, laughing at large, and yes, early in the evening, drinking a little and laughing a lot more. It was the 2nd Isobar Portugal Summit, it was at the Lisbon Zoo, it was (mostly) work (seriously!), and we can’t wait for the next one.
