The challenge

Before the 8th season of The Walking Dead premiere on 23 October 2017, FOX Networks Group wanted to create an on-ground Escape Room experience that surrounded the show.

By using Escape Room as the primary experience, the brand needed to create an immersive experience to heighten the hype of The Walking Dead for fans and prospective viewers alike.

The solution

We let the fans experience the most defining moments of the past three seasons 5, 6 and 7.

In a span of 1 week, and a total of 3 rooms at Orange Concourse, Sunway Pyramid, we gave the public a taste of the show by reliving iconic scenes that led up to the Season 8 premiere. We created scenarios from seasons 5, 6 & 7 which required them to scour for materials like show characters, survive a walker-ridden lawn at Alexandria, and escape the cruellest villain’s wrath. The immersive gameplay included a series of clues to solve, actions to do and even a cuffed participants that must be set free.
