What to expect from Isobar at CES 2018
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Vegas is the yearly event to kick off the technology world’s calendar, with the theme for 2018 set to go beyond the broadening of screen-based technology and into IoT, MR, VR and more.
Beyond the buzz of the wider gadget world - last year a smart-bra breast pump and a self balancing motorcycle caught popular attention - Isobar will attend the Dentsu Aegis Network Clubhouse to talk about the relevant technologies and innovations having an outsized impact on our clients today. Located at the Cosmopolitan Hotel, in the Castellana Ballroom, 3rd floor, from Tuesday 9th to Thursday 11th of January, the Dentsu Aegis Network Clubhouse will feature a stage and theater for thought leadership each morning and three Innovation Experience zones featuring work and installations. These themed zones – Search & Performance, Connected Home, and Mixed Reality, AR + VR – will be open throughout the week for clients to visit and experience as a complement to the CES show floor.
The talks in the venue will cover three areas: The Future of Commerce; the Future of Storytelling; and the Future of Customer Experience, and Isobar set to present on both. On Wednesday January 10th at 10:15am, Leigh Christie from Isobar US will join RYOT co-founder Bryn Mooser, and Shannon Pruitt from The Story Lab to discuss The Future of Data-Driven Immersive Experiences, hosted by Doug Ray from Dentsu Aegis Network. On Thursday January 11th at 9am, Gabe Garner from Firstborn and Isobar’s Dave Meeker will be discussing quantifying the ROI of New Tech. In the afternoon, Peri Antoniou from Diageo, Michael Francisco from Amazon and Sven Huberts from Isobar will present ‘Reinventing Brand & Commerce with Conversation' at 12:30, following Diageo’s latest voice technology innovation using Amazon Alexa, The Bar Echo Skill Experience.
Isobar will also be presenting some of its latest innovations - from Voice Experiences to MR & VR – to CES’s tech-savvy audience.
The Bar Echo Skill Experience invites people to become Mixology Masters through Amazon Echo Show. Isobar has worked with Diageo to create a Cocktail Class Amazon Skill that can take you from making your first-ever mojito to becoming a master in mixology.
We will also showcase Chevrolet V-Showroom, a first-of-its-kind Mixed Reality (MR) dealership innovation for long-standing global client, GM. The MR application is an augmented dealership experience, enabling people to virtually view and buy a car from anywhere at anytime.
Exclusively at CES, Isobar and Firstborn-Linked By Isobar are featuring a variety of VR experiences in the Mixed Reality Lounge. People will be able to try Isobar's first-of-its-kind immersive VR work with Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan for the launch of his new single, Aeronaut.
The VR experience was shot using Microsoft’s Mixed Reality Capture Studio to create a holographic, then integrated with a volumetric video of Billy Corgan and a landscape created by award-winning artist, Danny Bittman. Firstborn will be showcasing VR experiences built for blue-chip brands including Mountain Dew, Chevron and Patrón.
Lastly, loaded iPhones will showcase Dentsu Aegis Network's latest creative work, including a Ben & Jerry’s AR game from 360i and an our own adventure-based AR app called Gruesome Gotham, created for Halloween by Isobar's Firstborn team. The app allows people to travel to six murderous moments in Manhattan's bloody history and see deadly deeds come to life in AR. The mobile bar will be available each afternoon for individuals to check out anytime.
