Isobar selected for Cannes Lions 2017 Jury
Every year, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity juries select the world’s best work to win the coveted Lions awards – and Isobar has been chosen to be part of this process! These Lions winners are honoured at awards ceremonies taking place across the eight-day Festival, from 17-24 June, in the Palais des Festivals.
Encompassing a diverse spectrum of creative and international talent, 390 people from 50 countries across all juries are confirmed, and two new countries – The Dominican Republic and Vietnam – join the panels for the first time. 43% of jurors are female in 2017, a record for the Festival. The number of women on the juries has doubled in the last five years, from 21% in 2012.
This year, in recognition of our creative work, Isobar was selected to participate in the Titanium & Integrated, Outdoor, Mobile and Glass juries.
Jane Lin-Baden, Isobar APAC CEO, will join Jury President, Tham Khai Meng, Co-Chairman & Worldwide Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy & Mather, Global, for the Titanium & Integrated jury. Tim Doherty, Chief Creative Officer, Isobar APAC, will join the Outdoor Jury alongside Jury President Bruno Bertelli, Global Chief Creative Officer, Publicis Global. Brad Eldridge, Co-Founder, SOAP Linked by Isobar, will join Andy Hood, Head of Emerging Technologies, AKQA UK, for the Mobile Jury, and Cheyney Robinson, Isobar CXO for EMEA and APAC, will join Wendy Clark, President & Chief Executive Officer, DDB Worldwide, North America, USA for the Glass Lion Jury.
Jose Papa, Managing Director of Cannes Lions, added, “The job of the jury is to identify and award the very best in global creativity, recognising and celebrating work made by all people from all corners of the world. The make-up of this year’s juries marks another step forward in the Festival’s mission to improve diversity among its judges, and is something we’re committed to continuing in 2018 and beyond.”
