Isobar launches NowLab Amsterdam
Global digital agency Isobar, together with Studio Kraftwerk, has launched innovation accelerator NowLab Amsterdam. The innovation lab will focus on the development of creative products that use technologies to improve the user experience for customers. Led by Sven Huberts, Director of Strategic Growth EMEA Isobar, and Daniel Sytsma, Founder & Creative Director Studio Kraftwerk, NowLab Amsterdam joins 14 NowLab locations across America, Europe and Asia, as well as a virtual community that connects Isobar’s global teams across 45 markets.
Isobar NowLab is a global initiative and accelerator that fosters a culture of innovation. NowLab Amsterdam will provide innovation processes and a physical space to its clients, where strategy, technology, design and creativity come together. The team will work with brands to create strategic analyses that expose real business opportunities for innovation, resulting in tangible prototypes within seven days.
Sven Huberts, Director of Strategic Growth EMEA Isobar, says: "Together with NowLabs worldwide, we’ve created a virtual community and innovation think-tank of around 1000 people. This gives NowLab Amsterdam access to a global bank of knowledge, leading to a high success rate with 50 percent of our prototypes becoming scalable solutions."
An example of the innovations to come, NowLab Amsterdam has already partnered up with Dutch decorative DIY store KARWEI, developing an in-store touch interface where consumers can create digital mood boards. The digital experience is supported by physical samples of materials and colors that can be added to the mood board with RFID.

The NowLab Amsterdam team has already contributed to several international innovation projects including Philips AR Grooming and Diageo's The Echo Bar that used digital technologies including AI, AR, VR to create and enhance brand experiences
