Brazilian agencies re-brand in support of diversity

Every year, National Creative Day takes place on 17th November in Brazil. This year, as diversity continues to be an important topic of discussion in our industry, a number of creative agencies in Brazil have used the day to highlight top female talent from their own teams.

In Brazil, women only make up 20% of creative departments, and just 11% of those women hold Creative Director roles. The campaign, #AddGirlsinAd by Escola Cuca, is throwing this in to the spotlight, asking “what is going on?".

The idea is to encourage agencies to change their name to include the initials or surname of their female creatives for 24 hours on Brazil’s National Creative Day. The women already celebrated include Andrea Siqueria from Isobar Brazil, Flock Linked by Isobar's Paula Figueroa, and Cata Mazonas from sister agency MKTG Brazil. We’ve also changed our own name to Isobar CR, to celebrate Cheyney Robinson, our Chief Experience Officer for EMEA and APAC.
