Dentsu Isobar and Dentsu Digital Merge Into a New Dentsu Digital to Provide Comprehensive DX Solutions from a Customer’s Perspective

Dentsu Isobar Inc. and Dentsu Japan Network’s Dentsu Digital Inc. announce the merger of both companies to consolidate under a new Dentsu Digital entity. The new Dentsu Digital will begin operations from July 1.

 

The new Dentsu Digital will support the business growth for clients through Dentsu Isobar’s CX design, commerce strength, and global breadth which combines creativity and technology, together with Dentsu Digital’s extensive solutions expertise and its integration capabilities. The consolidated forces will partner with clients to deliver more creative, advanced, and integrated solutions ranging from DX promotion to branding that connect all digital touchpoints and drive business growth.

 

As a result of this merger, the new Dentsu Digital will account for approximately 2,000 employees and will be better equipped to respond to clients’ increasing sophistication, scale and needs of digital transformation. In addition, it will also improve its team’s strength and reliability through the integration of management methods and corporate culture nurtured by both companies. The upscale of business, profitability and market competitiveness will continue to push this new company forward as the driving force behind its clients’ business within the Dentsu Group, and in turn, nurture a new cycle of opportunities for development for its employees, an essential part to accelerate business growth.

 

Dentsu Isobar has been operating Isobar in Japan, a global brand of Dentsu International, which is responsible for the Dentsu Group’s overseas business. As a result of this merger, the new Dentsu Digital will take on this role moving forward.

 

Schedule of Merger
Completion of merger agreement (planned): Mid-April 2021 *Schedule to be concluded upon approval by the board of directors of both companies.
Effective date of merger (planned): July 1, 2021

 

Type of Merger

This will be a merger by absorption, with the survival of Dentsu Digital and the absorption of Dentsu Isobar.
