Bank of Georgia works with Isobar to implement Salesforce

Bank of Georgia, a leading bank in Georgia with operations in several European countries, has selected Salesforce digital platform to deliver better service to its customers. The bank chose Isobar, Global Platinum Salesforce Partner, to ensure success of this key pioneering project.

Banking industry has been largely conservative and slow to implement cloud-based solutions. Nevertheless, Bank of Georgia recognizes the potential of full digital transformation and the benefits it provides. Bank of Georgia is is the leading Georgian bank with a market share of 35.4 % (based on total assets). The Bank offers a broad range of retail banking, corporate banking and investment management services and serves approximately 2.5 million clients. Bank of Georgia is listed on the main market of the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index. The Bank has credit ratings from global rating agencies: ‘Moody's: ‘Ba3/’Ba 2 (foreign and local currency), Fitch Ratings: ‘BB-’ (long- and short-term issuer default ratings); outlooks are ‘Stable’.

The Salesforce implementation will enable the bank to provide a fully customer-centric platform, offer tailored products, services, and solutions, and integrate all customer experiences throughout their journey in a single platform. In the future, the bank will also be able to better respond to changing customer needs and provide more personalized products and services for a truly game-changing customer experience.

The digital transformation process of Bank of Georgia started in 2018. The Salesforce implementation process began in September 2020 with participation of consultants from Isobar team based in the Czech Republic. Due to the COVID-19 situation, the implementation project will be carried out in full-remote mode, including workshops, project management, development, delivery, user training and support.

After the initial core platform is live and operational, the bank will consider further enhancements using the Salesforce platform's additional components. This fully remote implementation has been made possible thanks to flexibility and cooperative spirit of the Bank and the implementation partner.

Bank of Georgia is the first bank from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) economic region that has made a significant investment in a cloud platform and is making such pioneering move to the digital age.
