I’m Steve Turner and I’m a Sales Director for Isobar UK. I joined the business back in 2018 and my key focus is to lead discussions with new and exciting potential clients. I also work alongside my technical colleagues to form innovative creative solutions for their business challenges.
I’ve been in customer facing roles for nearly two decades now, I started off in data and analytics before moving into the software world. I’ve worked for a number of different software vendors, focussed on driving omnichannel engagement between brands and their customers. My background gave me a strong understanding of software solutions but working with Isobar has really broadened my experience.
A normal day for me is mostly made up of customer meetings. I have calls with potential clients to discuss their needs and challenges, as well as how our experts can solve them. I collaborate with the technical team to structure the most robust solution, which can vary from progressive web apps and e-commerce platforms to complete business transformations.
To succeed in my role, you need to be inquisitive about business challenges and goals. Having a strategic mindset and sharp foresight enables you to anticipate issues before they occur and deliver a smooth, high quality service to the customer. A high level of energy and integrity with both your colleagues and customers helps too.
I love learning about the priorities and challenges of the world’s biggest and best-known brands – these are always changing with the times. It’s really rewarding when we can use the talent and skills of our teams to guide, support and deliver huge change that often impacts the user experiences of millions of people.
I would say have a clear focus on your goals and be clear on how your actions can help you to achieve them. Employ urgency in delivering those actions and ensure that you hold yourself to high standards in everything you do. People notice that kind of dedication.
