Aeronaut VR, created by Isobar US for Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan, won the 2019 People's Voice honour in the Best Use of Animation or Motion Graphics (ADVERTISING, MEDIA & PR) category. The work enabled music fans to experience Corgan’s latest track in a truly immersive virtual landscape. Partnering with Viacom, Unity, Microsoft and Google, Isobar designed and developed the first of its kind VR experience, which also won the Digital Craft Grand Prix at Cannes Lions in 2018.Isobar Australia’s Tomb Raider work took used ads to create a game leading up to the film’s Australian release. The Isobar team took every ad promoting the film and turned it into a challenge, and with leading character Lara Croft’s help, each challenge took players a step closer to finding a tomb with treasure inside – an adventure holiday in Cape Town.
The work won the 2019 Webby Award Winner honour in the Social (Television & Film) category.Road Tales for Volkswagen created by Kraftwerk Linked by Isobar and ACHTUNG! mcgarrybowen picked up the 2019 People's Voice honour in the Best Use of GPS or Location Technology (APPS, MOBILE, AND VOICE) category. The work focused on the insight that seven out of 10 children in the Netherlands are glued to devices when they're in the car, so how could Volkswagen use technology to stimulate children’s imagination whilst they are travelling? ‘Road Tales’ uses a custom developed story-engine that creates unique tales based on the location and of the user ensuring the stories react to the environment during the journey, engaging children with the outside surroundings.
