Burns Night

We created a Snapchat campaign to tell a historical story to young people.

Challenge

National Pride

To get people in the spirit of Burns Night on the 25th of January. Burns Night is a huge event in Scotland, but a lot of younger Scots find it hard to see how he is relevant to them.

Solution

Enabled through technology

We wanted to allow people to access the great bard’s poem’s quickly and easily so they could learn and recite them themselves on Burn’s night. We noticed that he appears on the Scottish £10 note as a reminder of his legacy.

Targeting the younger audience specifically we used Snapchat to bring the £10 note to life, where they could watch the bard recite his poems right there on the note.
