Position Overview
Isobar Federal is seeking a recognized and seasoned leader to oversee the pursuit of strategic business opportunities within the Department of Defense. The VP of Business Development (DoD) will oversee all aspects of new business identification, qualification, and capture for Army, Air Force, Navy as well as other Combatant Commands. This position leads the development of gap analyses, competitiveness assessments, discriminators and key win themes, price to win and overall win strategy/ value proposition. Serves as the lead architect for external teaming arrangements and team partner roles to include identifying, selecting and recruiting teammates, subcontractors, and suppliers. They will report to the Chief Growth Officer and work in close collaboration with Isobar Federal executive leadership, Program Managers/Directors, and staff in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities.
The right person will devise appropriate strategies to ensure contract wins through active, strategic, tactical, and hands-on developmental roles in all facets of the new business acquisition life-cycle and proposal development. They will orchestrate timelines, identify and recommend allocation of resources, and monitor and summarize progress of new business pursuits. There may be travel associated with this position for the coordination and completion of call plan and marketing efforts. This person must build and maintain working relationships with potential customers, team members, vendors, and other departments involved in pursuit activities. They will prepare reports and briefs for the Isobar Federal leadership team regarding status of pursuits, including preparation of Opportunity Briefs\Gate Reviews and participation in the Monthly Pipeline Review.
