Each year, the D&AD Awards gather the world's best creative work from across the commercial design, advertising, production and craft disciplines to be judged by more than 400 global creative leaders, practitioners and innovators.

In 2020, Isobar won six D&AD Awards including a Yellow Pencil, four graphite pencils and two wood pencils. The teams that scooped the prizes were Isobar Amsterdam and Achtung! Mcgarrybowen, and Firstborn, an Isobar company.


Isobar Amsterdam and Achtung! Mcgarrybowen were awarded for Road Tales, an innovative campaign for Volkswagen received the prestigious yellow pencil in the Digital Creative Use of Data Category. The team were also awarded three Graphite Pencils and a Wood Pencil in the Digital Branded Apps & Games, Digital Design Creative Use of Data, Radio & Audio Creative Use of Technology and Experiential Use of Technology categories respectively.


Firstborn, an Isobar Company are part of the Isobar team in the US and received a Graphite Pencil in the Design Transformation and a wood pencil in the Digital Design Service Digitation for ‘Tempo’ by Beats By Dre.
