Before buying a car, people watch videos on the internet, so for the launch of the new Peugeot 2008 we resorted to a format relevant to any potential buyer who is on YouTube: unboxing.
90% of Argentinians search the internet for information about cars before going to a dealership, and 83% of them do so by watching videos. Therefore, it was very important for Peugeot to adapt to this habit for the launch of the Peugeot 2008.
We used a relevant format for potential buyers who are on YouTube: UNBOXING. Together with a specialized journalist, we took a 2008 Peugeot 0km from a box and created 3 different videos, highlighting a specific attribute in each one.
An unpublished experience for a car
We achieved more than 735,000 views in one month, making the 2008 unboxing the most visited product video. The case was highlighted by Google Argentina as a success story, and various specialised portals highlighted the originality of the action.
