We concepted, wrote, produced and built an Alexa skill that brings to life the premise of LAIKA’s “Missing Link” – Adventure Links Us All.

The results

At launch, Missing Link Adventures generated strong results: 12K+ Unique Users; 103K+ Interactions

The challenge

Bring the world of “Missing Link” into the home using only the power of voice.

We needed to create a standalone Alexa voice skill to serve as pre-release promotion. One that families could also enjoy for the life of the movie and beyond. This meant crafting new storylines with all original dialog, and have every single word spoken by the film’s characters (sorry Alexa).

The solution

Train families to find the fantastic in their home by sending them on global quests.

In this unprecedented conversational experience, players frequently interact with the film’s main characters by answering questions, solving riddles, and performing feats in six different countries. Inspired by the film’s powerful message of friendship, we incorporated themes of kindness, bravery, intelligence and fitness. 

Missing Link Adventures was built using Alexa Presentation Language (APL). The skill lives on all Alexa-enabled devices including Amazon Echo, Plus, Dot, Spot and Show.
