We launched the Shared Heartbeats app for Apple Watch and smartphones that sends a mother’s calming heartbeat to her newborn baby.

The challenge

Mother and child are separated after birth

Before birth, the most important thing a baby hears is the mother’s heartbeat. After they are born, this reassuring connection is lost.

The solution

Let’s broadcast the true sound of motherly love by using her pulse

Telekom’s Shared Heartbeats app broadcasts the heartbeat’s sound to newborn babies with a simple synchronization. The app detects the mother’s heartbeat via the Apple Watch and links it to a Bluetooth speaker put next to the child to give them the reassurance they miss.
