Educated in Adelaide, Sharon started her career in a boutique public relations agency, a discipline she would stay in for over a decade. Through this time she worked within Government for a Co-operative Research Centre before beginning an influential tenure with Foster’s [then] wine division, Treasury Wine Estates.
Returning to agency, she continued to further her career and develop skills which would ultimately lead to the position of General Manager for Mitchell Communication Group business, Spark Communications.
From there, her appetite for strategy and cross-discipline projects grew to the point that she decided to work in Strategy full-time, joining isobar in 2012. Punctuating this time with the birth of her two children, she remained as a Strategy Director until taking the role of Executive Director – Strategy for isobar Australia.
For Sharon, Strategy is - at its core - about collecting knowledge, marrying insight with expertise and wrapping it all in a simple narrative; one that can be shared to influence. Sharon loves brands, loves the ambition they set, the value they provide and the “moats” they create (credit to Warren Buffet).
