Creativity Now: Isobar gets set for Cannes Lions 2017
Isobar is set to present on the main stage at the 64th Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, which takes place from 17-24 June 2017. The role of creativity in the economy, society and culture is a major theme at this year’s Festival – reinforcing the Cannes Lions campaign for creativity as a positive force for business, for change and for good in the world.
Revered speakers from all walks of life will explore creativity as a driver for good. Legendary civil rights activist, political figure and social entrepreneur Reverend Jesse Jackson is discussing the need for brands to advance towards a more inclusive society and the role the industry can play; and acclaimed actor and activist Sir Ian McKellen, alongside The Brooklyn Brothers, will talk about building a better future and creative fulfilment.
For Isobar’s presentation on the Palais des Festivals’ Lumière Theatre stage, 'AI: The Future of Creativity' – on Monday 19 June, 12:00-12:45 – Jean Lin, Isobar Global CEO & Wei Liu, Director of AI Lab, Tencent, will be discussing how, as we enter the era of machine learning, AI is impacting our lives, the role of creativity and transforming our future. Together, the pair will explore the effect AI will have on how we conceive ideas, how creativity is delivered and what our creative future will look like.
Alongside the main Cannes Lions Festival, three specialist Lions events also take place – Lions Health (17-18 June), Lions Innovation (19-20 June) and Lions Entertainment (21-22 June) – are also packed with respected names from around the globe.
Jose Papa, Managing Director of Cannes Lions, said, “The Cannes Lions community deserves the very best content and I’m delighted to announce our eight-day programme that’s full of thought-provoking, challenging and game-changing speaker sessions. More than 600 speakers come from around the world to tell stories of how creativity can be a force for business, change and good in the world. It’s a privilege to welcome them to the Festival. I know this year’s audiences are in for something truly special.”
Isobar will also be contributing to panel discussions at the Dentsu Aegis Network Beach House, including ‘Voice: Now, Next & Future’ – an AI and voice focused panel discussion with iProspect and Diageo – and ‘Collaborating For Creativity’ – hosted by Jean Lin and including panelists from Maven, Facebook and 360i, exploring the relationship dynamics of a new romance: data + creative.
