Fiat looked for a new way to engage consumers in the evolving Brazilian market. The beginning of a new concept car project was taken as an opportunity to create a more engaging and transparent relationship. This was the idea behind Fiat Mio: an open collaboration platform to enable car enthusiasts to set the agenda for the car of the future, and help Fiat create the world’s first ever open source car.
