At his previous engagement as Head of Strategy and Innovation at Leo Burnett Germany, he built an integrated strategy team of brand-, retail-, content and experience strategists and created new strategic processes and empirical tools to advance the way brands can profit from holistic customer journey planning. In this capacity, he also consulted startups as well as multinational clients in the area of digital transformation. Before this time he built the strategic offerings of KKLD* and Neue Digitale (now Razorfish) where he integrated traditional account planning with user experience techniques. Initially a programmer, and a child of the first dot com boom, he started his career in 1996 in NYC where he was hired in 1999 to be part of the startup team to build the digital marketing agency of BBDO NY, called AtmosphereBBDO, now part of ProximityBBDO.
