Isobar to Present on both Cannes Lions and Lions Innovation Stages at 2016 Festival with Uniqlo and WIRED

Isobar Global CEO Jean Lin and CCO of EMEA, Nick Bailey, will take to the main stage and the Lions Innovation stages at the global festival in June.  Jean Lin will be joined on stage by John Jay, President of Global Creative for Japan’s Fast Retailing group. John, the creative force behind retail giants including Isobar client, Uniqlo, Helmut Lang, G.U., Theory and J Brand.

In a session entitled ‘Icons of Creativity’ John will discuss with Jean, the ways in which his organization works to maintain its creative edge and relevancy in this fast changing, Brand Commerce era. The duo will consider the importance of cultural insights, context and the ever-growing power of design, in a global economy empowered by human emotions and desire.

On the Lions Innovation stage, Nick Bailey will be partnered by WIRED UK Editor, David Rowan and they will discuss the impact of connected cities around the world and the impact this has on our industry in a session entitled  “Future Society – will our industry lead or follow?”

Bailey and Rowan will look at how technology and innovation are driving fundamental change in our present and future societies. From the rise of the global mega-city, to the way we travel and work, to how we select (or disregard) services and brands: how will creative use of technology and a focus on ideas without limits impact our industry in the Brand Commerce era?

The pair will explore how innovations like smart architecture, urban food production and the re-imagining of retail and service business models are enabling incumbent businesses, innovation and creative companies and technology entrepreneurs to shape the future - making the super-urban, connected societies of the future not simply possible, but pleasant, healthy and inspiring places to live.
